...... About DianaDiana Marsland Cooking is one of Victorias leading cooking schools - situated at "The Gables" just 50 minutes from Melbourne

Diana Marsland Cooking is one of Victoria’s leading cooking schools,
having been established in 1981.

Since then, students from 8 to 80+ have participated in cooking classes, demonstrations and dinners.

In June 1997 Diana relocated to Woodend, in the beautiful Macedon Ranges, to “The Gables”, an 1860 Victorian Country House. (Woodend is only 50 minutes from Melbourne, on the Calder Highway.)

Diana studied in London at the Cordon Bleu School and later returned to Prue Leith’s School of Food and Wine in London. She attended William Angliss College in Melbourne. Her wide knowledge of and passion for local food products and ingredients led her to become a founding member of Daylesford Macedon Produce Group and Slow Food Central Victoria convivium.

Her convivial classes are conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Following class, everyone sits down to eat and drink in the dining room. Classes are both hands-on and demonstration. These course are not residential, but a list of local accommodation is available.

Diana designs and escorts regular trips to Italy to visit gardens of the Lake Como area and cook with Valentina Harris in Tuscany. These very popular and highly personalised tours offer an opportunity to explore the rich culinary traditions of these areas with a travel and food professional.

Diana has been appointed the Food Editor of Slow’ magazine, a new regional magazine, now in its 3rd issue, and available for sale in all newsagents or by subscription This is a magazine full of reading for those who think life’s too fast!

Diana also joins with Boutique Tours & Travel for Cuisine & Cultural Tours to China and Botanica. for garden tours of Victoria. So come and join us, as a solo traveller, couple or with a group of friends and immerse yourself in many wonderful culinary and cultural experiences.
